KOPS, 11 Aviation, and Travers Aviation Insurance Launch New Insurance Incentive Program for the Kodiak Community

Kodiak owners and operators who join KOPS and complete additional training with 11 Aviation along with required annual training can now receive a 10% hull premium dividend.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — May 13, 2026 — The Kodiak Owners and Pilots Society (KOPS), 11 Aviation, and Travers Aviation Insurance today announced a new partnership designed to reward Kodiak owners and operators for investing in training, community participation, and a stronger safety culture.

The program is open to every Kodiak owner and operator who qualify. The path is straightforward: join KOPS and complete additional training with 11 Aviation along with required annual training. Qualifying members will receive a dividend equal to 10% of the physical damage coverage premium (excluding War Risk) minus all Physical Damage claims upon evidence of the additional training being completed along with annual required training. 

How the Program Works

The program is built around a simple premise: Kodiak owners who are connected, consistently trained, and properly insured present a meaningfully stronger safety profile. Participating carriers are recognizing that profile with tangible premium savings.

11 Aviation brings the depth and bench strength this program demands. Founded and led by Mark Brown, the highest-time Kodiak pilot in the world with more than 9,000 hours in type, the 11 Aviation team includes specialized instructors and support staff whose roots trace back to the original OEM program. The company delivers initial and recurrent Kodiak training, supported by acquisition, brokerage, management, and concierge services for owner-pilots and professional operators of Kodiak and similar single-engine turboprop aircraft.

KOPS is the dedicated owners and pilots society for the Kodiak community, built on relationships, substantive education, and meaningful time together. At its inaugural October 2025 event at the JL Bar Ranch in Texas, members gathered for owner roundtables, spot-landing contests, skeet shooting, family activities, and a Saturday night cowboy dinner. The next gathering is set for June 5–7, 2026 at Silvies Valley Ranch in Oregon, where keynote speaker Michelle “MACE” Curran will join members for the weekend.

Travers Aviation Insurance has worked closely with aviation insurance carriers to structure the program. The 11 Aviation and Travers Aviation teams have collaborated on Kodiak insurance coverage and training-driven programs for more than three years. This expanded partnership formalizes that work into a clear incentive program for the broader Kodiak community.
